Planned Giving - Elevating Donor Intent

Dan will share the planned giving confirmation project St. Ambrose University has undertaken since transitioning to a new database in November of 2022. He will describe steps taken to confirm the accuracy of their data and to equip gift officers with the necessary skills to implement planned giving into conversations with donors. In a coordinated donor mailing last summer, they asked donors to confirm their planned gifts, many of which were only previously verbally known or had no value attached to them. Thanks to some functionality in the new database, they have captured information to steward these gifts appropriately and also count appropriate gifts in their upcoming comprehensive campaign.
